Source files


Each source identified in the catalog is available as a specific Source file, a multi-extension FITS file which gathers all source information in a single file. The Source format is part of the MUSE Python Data Analysis Framework (MPDAF, Bacon et al. 2016; Piqueras et al. 2019). You will find here a tutorial on using source file. The corresponding Jupyter notebook and the exemple source file can be downloaded here (17.1 Mb tar gz file):

Interactive HTML source files


Html files are available for each source. These files have some limited built-in interactivity which allow to inspect the various source content ( e.g. images, spectra, catalogs). Although they can be directly displayed by any browser, it is recommend to use the browse & select functionality to navigate over the catalog.
